Fourth of July

Julie | July 6, 2010 9:12 pm

We had a great Fourth of July weekend. Saturday, we took Jackson and Mackenzie to see Toy Story 3 at the movie theater. They both did great and we made it through the whole movie. Sunday, we had a great day. We went to the pool, had bbq, then ended the day with fireworks. On our extra day off, we all went to the waterfront park where the kids played on the playground and we ended the day with ice cream on the pier. Here are some pics from the weekend. For more, check out the gallery, here.

Next post…..Disney World pics. I promise!

Mackenzie’s first dance recital

Julie | May 31, 2010 8:58 pm

A few weeks ago Mackenzie had her very first dance recital. She did great and let’s just say stage fright is not in her vocabulary. She was adorable! We were so proud of her and she was very proud of herself! Here are a few pics from our night:

We have been SUPER busy, but we have had the camera going! In the last few months a lot of changes have been going on. For those who don’t know we are relocating to Fort Worth, TX. David got a promotion with his company which is going to require us to move. We are very excited about being close to home, but will miss everything and everyone we will be leaving behind in Charleston.

Mackenzie recently had her first dance recital and then immediately after that we took a trip to Disney! Stay tuned for pictures from the recital and our trip. On top of all of this, we are trying to sell our house in Charleston, have a contract in to build our new house in Texas, oh yeah and baby Taylor is on the verge of crawling!!!!!

Here are a few pictures from an early weekend in May. Stay tuned for more pictures in the next few weeks!

March post…..barely

Julie | March 31, 2010 9:03 pm

Ok, so to say things have been a little hectic is a huge understatement. I always try to post at least once a month and obviously March wasn’t a great month for posting. So I am squeezing in a quick March post. March photos (which aren’t many) will be uploaded to an album soon. So here is a quick update of what we have had going. Taylor has had a double ear infection basically the whole month of March. We have tried three different antibiotics since the first two didn’t work and now hoping the 3rd is going to do the trick. Taylor is 6 months old and a week ago cut her first tooth! I can’t believe how fast she is growing. Mackenzie is doing great and is literally counting down the days until Disney!

I have updated some February photos that had been sitting on my camera for a month! So check those out in the gallery and a few of them below:

A weekend of firsts

Julie | February 13, 2010 8:05 pm

We have had quite a few first time events this weekend. Friday night was the first time we have seen it snow since moving to Charleston. It was also Mackenzie’s first time to see snow. She actually saw it when she was a few months old in Arkansas, but that doesn’t count. To top things off, while David and Mackenzie were outside playing in the snow this morning, Taylor and I were playing on the floor and Taylor decided to roll over multiple times from her back to her front. Here are some pictures from our weekend:

Thats right folks....snow, in Charleston!!

Happy 4th Birthday Mackenzie!!!

Julie | December 7, 2009 1:00 pm

Mackenzie turned four years old on November 23rd. It is hard to believe it has been four years already since she was born! We were in Little Rock for the Thanksgiving holidays and Mackenzie’s birthday.
We had a little party for her and her friends at Playtime pizza. She had a blast playing games, riding go carts, eating pizza and of course opening her birthday presents! Here are some pictures from our night.

Stamp Beard

Julie | November 18, 2009 10:59 am

This morning David had to leave early for work. After David left I had Mackenzie watching a cartoon in the den while I took Taylor in the bathroom with me so I could take a quick shower. As I was drying my hair, Mackenzie came running in yelling Mommy Mommy! I turned and looked and she was standing there just staring at me.

Here are pictures of what I saw. She must have gotten bored with her cartoon and decided to play with her stamps.

When I asked her how it happened, she told me Daddy did it….which obviously was not possible. I told her I wanted to take her picture and she was very hesitant. She instantly asked if I was going to send it to Daddy. When I said yes, I could tell she was trying to figure out if she was going to be in trouble or not! I told her Daddy would think it was funny and then she started laughing. Luckily she did let me wash it off before we went to school.

Early birthday celebration

Julie | 10:53 am

Mackenzie’s birthday isn’t technically until November 23rd. However, since we will be in Little Rock for her birthday we needed to have a celebration with YaYa, Grandpa, and the Butlers. So this past Sunday we went over to YaYa’s and had a wonderful lunch and birthday party for Mackenzie.

Ya Ya made wonderful birthday cupcakes.

Mackenzie got a birthday girl crown and earrings. She was in love with it. Can you tell?

Mackenzie got a baby care center from YaYa and Grandpa. She has been asking for one for months and has been playing with it non-stop!
